ARTWORKS & PRINT COLOURS
To work with our machinery and programs, we require your artwork in vector format. This could be in the form of an Adobe Illustrator file or EPS file.
Artwork formats can be a little confusing for some (including the non-designer half of Knight Shift!). We will always have a look at your artwork files and provide advice if it is not in a suitable format for printing. You may require your artwork to be created in the right format for printing (or other design requirements such as signage or web), which we can assist with. Design work is an additional charge and we will always provide a quote for customer approval.
Depending on the print method required for your artwork, we will match artwork colours as best we can. For direct to garment printing, we can print any image with colours within the CMYK colour range. For heat vinyl transfer, there may not be an exact match of the colour in your design to the vinyl supplies we have access to. We will provide advice where there may be a variation to your colour required or provide some alternatives.
GARMENTS, PRINT METHOD, SIZING
We do not manufacture the garments that we print on. We source these from a third party and provide you with links to these garments for you to review sizing and colours required. Customers are welcome to purchase their own samples from these third parties or through us to check the colours and sizes of garments prior to placing their order. We will not be held responsible for change of mind in colours or incorrect sizes selected from third party suppliers.
The garments, artwork and colours required will determine the print or embroidery method we use for our garments. We will use our professional judgement to ensure you get the best results for your garments and communicate with you if there will be any variations to the print or embroidery method we originally anticipated or communicated with you.
We use our expertise and familiarity with logos and garments to determine the best sizing for artworks on garments. We have standard sizing for a ‘pocket print’, or a ‘logo on the back’ and will apply these or alter these to ensure your design looks its best on your garment. We will take on board your feedback as to whether sizing may not be suitable and alter this for future work.
When we require confirmation of an artwork and its placement, we will send a mock-up of the design to you for your approval. Please note, that mock-ups are not what we use to print our garments, they are simply a guide/design reference. There may be variations to the actual print, placement of design, sizing of design, colours etc which are unavoidable in our processes. We will not be held accountable for a refund or compensation to minor variations to design mock-ups.
SUPPLYING YOUR OWN GARMENTS
We can work with your own supplied garments; however, we cannot guarantee the quality and output of a print or embroidery on your garments. If any spoilage occurs to your garment through our work, we will not proceed with further printing or embroidery and will be unable to replace your spoiled garment.
For the best quality outputs, we love to print or embroider on our own preferred garments that we know and trust (and can replace should anything go wrong), however we understand that everyone has their own style and garment preferences and we’re happy to work with these to the best that we can.
If you do supply your own garments to us, please ensure that they are new and clean. We will refuse old garments.

We generally have a collection service for fellow Canberra residents to save you on delivery costs. Being a family and home run business, our times for collection could be restricted on certain days, but we will always provide plenty of alternatives in the hope that something works in conjunction with your availability. Thanks for your understanding.
We can courier garments to you, whether you are in Canberra or interstate. We will organise freight options which best suit the size of your order and location. Shipping costs are additional to your order.
CARE OF GARMENTS
It is best to turn your garments inside out, cold wash, line dry. Avoid direct sunlight or prolonged exposure to the heat. Avoid the dryer. Do not iron your garment. Avoid continuous rubbing of items on the print, such as a tool belt or handbag strap.
RETURN OF ITEMS/CHANGE OF MIND
Choose carefully, because each item is printed or stitched especially for you. Therefore, we cannot accept returns/exchanges/refunds for the wrong size or change of mind.
We carefully select each garment and are very particular about our outputs and that it is of the highest quality for our customers. If we make a genuine mistake with your print, then we will be responsible for the replacement of this. However, where there is a minor variation of unavoidable factors (as per the Garment Printing Section in these Terms and Conditions), Knight Shift will not be held accountable for a return/exchange/refund.
